Medications That Should Be Reviewed

Studies have shown that some medications should only be used for a short time.This is because they can:

  • Become less effective over time
  • Cause problems of their own

These include:

  • Opioids – morphine-based painkillers such as codeine, tramadol, oxycodone
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Sleeping tablets – for example, Zopiclone
  • Gabapentin
  • Pregabalin
